The Incredibles manages to finish with a bang, but it seems to take a long time to get there.

While it's important to lay out a good storyline, it seems to fixate a little too long on the humdrum existence of their every day lives.
~Not even lawyers can keep them down for long~
If you can't defeat a superhero by strength or cunning then do it the American way--Sue his ass.
That’s the latest concept in Pixar Studios’ newest animated film.
Bob Parr (Craig T. Nelson) is Mr. Incredible, the world’s greatest superhero.  There’s no villain that can stop him from saving the world time and time again.
But when saving the day gets a little messy you know who gets the blame.
Armed with legions of lawyers, the victims begin suing the good guys.  Up until this point, the government has helped foot the bill when things went wrong.  But when it starts costing them billions of dollars, they take the typical government stance and ban the use of all super powers.
Grudgingly agreeing to the decision the superheroes find themselves in the superhero relocation program.
“Normal life” doesn’t agree with them as they are forced to work normal jobs and hide their special abilities.  Sometimes the allure of doing good cannot be escaped as Bob finds himself listening to the police scanner at nights with his old friend Frozone (Samuel L. Jackson) who has the powers of cold.
Not only does his do-gooder personality end up
getting his family relocated every few years, but it ends up getting him fired at work.  It seems insurance companies don’t like paying off their clients or telling them the truth, something that Bob can’t help doing.
After 15 years of living this way, Bob gets a secret message asking him for his help.  Once again Mr. Incredible lives.
Springing into action, Mr. Incredible spends the next few months getting in shape. He is also training a giant
robot how to defeat himself and doesn’t know it.
When the trap is sprung and he ends up being captured by a new villain, who’s left to save him???
His own family, that’s who.  The Incredibles !!
Son Dash (Spencer Fox) with his super speed, daughter Violet (Sarah Vowell ) with her ability to create force fields and turn invisible, and his wife Elastigirl (Holly Hunter )who can stretch her body to any length.
While the last half of the film is filled with lots of
wild action sequences, the beginning half drags along almost as much as Bob's life drags without the use of his super powers.
Even with the slow stretches, the film is well rounded and makes an attempt to add some dimension to the three-dimensional characters.  The family has real problems, which they must learn to overcome and end up realizing that they can't suppress who they really are.
And if you want action, watching a battle with a real robot that's smooth and quick and not the typical clunky piece of trash makes the film well worth it.
