| Original Story Synopsis: |
| A group of action hero marionettes set out to rid the world of terrorists and other evil-doers. |
| Brought to you by the creators of South Park this film looks to be another foul-mouthed crazy comedy that spoofs action films. At least that is what the initial preview appeared to suggest. Unfortunately, with each trailer that is released the film looks worse and worse and less of a zany comedy and more of a really bad puppet film. |
| Rated R |
| ~When it’s good it’s good~ |
| The film gets bogged down with a love interest between Gary and Lisa but it has the funniest and most demented sex scene. While you might think that a scene between two marionettes wouldn't be that graphic, after watching it you can almost see why they had to tone it down to avoid an NC-17 rating. There’s also the gratuitous past issues that haunt some of the team members who must overcome their negative experiences and do little to enhance the quality of the film. While there are a number of slow spots, the gut-busting laughs are well worth the wait. |

| It's obvious now why the trailers were so confusing. When the picture does a lot of the dramatic scenes it slows down and is quite dull. But when it goes into the spoofs and satires it is extremely funny and certainly not for children. If you like South Park, then you'll enjoy this film. |

| The creators of South Park, Matt Stone and Trey Parker, have once again brought another outrageous creation to the silver screen. Instead of the familiar eight-year-olds made of construction paper, they decided to use marionettes for this endeavor.
While an obvious spoof of the Thunderbirds, an old children’s show, Team America: World Police is Rated R and was made for an adult audience. It’s obvious that a lot of work has been put into this film as there are some truly impressive sets. |
| The comedy is Matt and Trey at their best as they lambaste everyone from Michael Moore to North Korean Dictator Kim Jong Il. Unfortunately, the comedy does not continue throughout, leaving long uninteresting sections that seem to drag on forever. But once the jokes return it will leave you rolling in the aisles with laughter.
Team America is an elite fighting force that fights terrorism around the world. A group of terrorists has a WMD (Weapon of Mass Destruction) in Paris and is about to use it. |
| In order to stop them Team America ends up destroying the Eiffel tower, Arch de Triumph and the Louvre, but at least they manage to kill the terrorists.
Just when they think it’s over, one of their members is killed. The team is devastated and must carry on. To replace their fallen member they enlist the help of Gary, a Broadway actor. There’s nobody else that can fight terrorism better than an actor. Actors take a beating in this film as Alec Baldwin, Sean Penn, Janeane |
| Garofalo, Matt Damon, Michael Moore and the rest of the Film Actors Guild (Acronym F.A.G.) decide they know what’s best for the world and side with Kim Jong Il.
The F.A.G. actors are blown up, shot, and killed off in many hilarious ways as Team America tries to stop the terrorists and their liberal allies. As in many of the South Park episodes, this film has a message of how we need both the liberals and the conservatives, and sometimes you just have to kick some ass. |
