| Blade is forced to team up with a group of vampire hunters in order to escape the FBI who is tracking him. Following an ancient trail he comes face to face with the original vampire, Count Dracula. |
| The first Blade movie was so much better than the second that it's hard to tell which way the third film may lean. Most of the time sequels tend to decline in quality and at this point there is nothing to show that this will be any better. |

| This incarnation of Blade is more light hearted than the first two with the
infusion of Ryan Reynolds and his constant one liners.
While still not as good as the first film it lifts itself above the second as it cuts back on the use of the terrible CGI effects of its predacessor |
| The third installment of the Marvel hero Blade (Wesley Snipes) entered theatres with a little more attitude than the previous two films.
With the wise-cracking antics of Hannibal King (Ryan Reynolds) the film had more of a heart than the last film, which could have used some levity. |
| The same could not be said of Abigail Whistler (Jessica Biel) who added little to the film. At least she didn’t hurt the film either as she had few lines. Her purpose was that of eye candy as she pranced around in a tight leather outfit. |
| the film as four people dressed in environmental suits exit a helicopter in the middle of the desert and one of them decides to give the sun the finger. Thankfully, that was the worst part of the movie, and from there it only got better. Once again, the villains are the vampires who are intent on taking over the world. In order to fulfill their evil plans, they decide to awaken the father of all vampires, Count Dracula. |
| The opening scene did not bode well for |
| At first Dracula is not pleased about his early awakening, but his mind changes as he hears about his latest adversary.
In an attempt to catch the half-breed vampire they use more conventional tactics, as they set him up for a murder and let the police capture him. |
| Just as it looks like this may be the end for Blade, he is rescued at the last moment by Hannibal and Abigail. The two are in a group called The Nightstalkers, a loosely formed group of vampire hunters, that have been called in at the behest of Blade's friend and Abigail's father, Abraham Whistler (Kris |
| Kristofferson). It's going to take everything that the group can muster to stop Dracula. |
| The reason that he has been brought back is to mix his blood with that of his offspring. Dracula is more than just a vampire and has abilities they want, mainly the ability to walk in sunlight. At the same time, the Nightstalkers have developed a virus that when mixed with the blood of the source of all vampires has the capability of infecting and killing all of the undead. |
| Their timing couldn't be more perfect as Dracula lashes out at the renegade group killing all but a small handful. Upon finding their hideout destroyed, Blade and Abigail go after the nest of vampires in their plush luxurious office building to confront Dracula. With the name Blade: Trinity you would expect some kind of conclusion to the series, but it ends just as the others did with Blade |
| continuing his struggle against his vampire enemies. Once again, the film manages to kill off Abraham, but his body is never recovered leaving it open for another one of his miraculous comebacks. While there are a number of similarities between the three films, the special effects of the the third film are similar to those used in the first one. The second film used too much CGI animation and gave that film an unrealistic look, much like a cartoon. Trinity did a number of things right, and if the character of Hannibal returns while using the same special effects a fourth film will be welcomed. |
